Deciduous Therapeutics is an early stage, venture-backed biotech company based in San Francisco, California developing novel therapies to activate the endogenous immune system to treat age related diseases.

We are looking for a highly ambitious and talented in vivo scientist to join our team and play a critical role in our research and drug discovery efforts. You will have the opportunity to be an early team member and generate key experimental data in a highly enriching environment. Key Responsibilities and Job Functions
  • Develop and execute in vivo studies in support of lead identification & optimization including PK-TE, PK-PD, and efficacy endpoints
  • Independently lead the pharmacology aspects for 1-2 exploratory projects assessing the interface between our biology and the potential to meet clinically relevant therapeutic endpoints
  • Use common data analysis tools (Excel, Prism, FlowJo) and keep detailed documentation in an electronic lab notebook
  • Collaborate closely with team members to ensure efficient experiment execution; present study results to the research team in weekly lab meetings
  • Manage and mentor junior scientific team members in a collaborative, matrixed environment
Qualifications and Skills
  • PhD, or similar experience, in relevant discipline (post-doctorate training is preferred)
  • Proven track record developing murine disease models across multiple therapeutic areas
  • Broad expertise with all aspects of in vivo rodent research (dosing routes, anesthesia, surgical procedures, necropsy, tissue processing, etc.)
  • Experience in immune cell profiling and assay development (flow cytometry, ELISA, histology, qPCR)
  • Driven to both learn from, as well as teach, team members
  • The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, energetic, able to adapt to and shape a dynamic environment
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
