We are looking for a highly ambitious and talented Senior Research Associate / Associate Scientist to join our research team and play a critical role in our research and drug discovery efforts. Key Responsibilities and Job Functions
- Conduct in vivo experiments in support of lead identification & optimization including PK-TE, PK-PD, and efficacy endpoints
- Run immune cell phenotypic and functional studies (surface marker expression, proliferation, cellular cytotoxicity, cytokine production) using multi-color flow cytometry, ELISA, Luminex, and qPCR
- Perform reporter cell line based in vitro screening assays
- Work closely and collaboratively with fellow scientists to develop and optimize in vivo models
- Analyze workflows and assay performance to increase efficiency and robustness of generated data
- Use common data analysis tools (Excel, Prism, FlowJo) and keep detailed documentation in an electronic lab notebook
- Collaborate closely with team members towards study design and planning; present results to the research team in weekly lab meetings
Qualifications and Skills
- B.S. or M.S. in relevant discipline with 3-7 years of industry experience, or PhD in relevant discipline with 1-3 years of industry experience
- Experience developing and executing rodent disease models (IACUC submission, study design and execution, data processing and presentation)
- Technically proficient with a track record in many aspects of in vivo rodent research (dosing routes, anesthesia, necropsy, tissue processing, etc.)
- Experience with multiple methods of tissue processing and analytical analysis (flow cytometry, ELISA, qPCR)
- Driven to both learn from, as well as teach, team members
- The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, energetic, able to adapt to and shape a dynamic environment
